Emma Watson Still Casting Her Spells On Us

What else can be said about Emma Watson except that she is a modern day marvel? At such a young age, she took on one of the biggest characters in literary history, and played the part magnificently. As Hermione Granger, she was able to let little girls everywhere see that even if you are a girl, and even if you are smarter than everyone else and a little different, you can do anything that you want to do. And Emma herself continues to do this every day of her life.

Born in France in 1990, Emma Watson was an unknown actress until she was cast as Hermione in the later part of the decade. After playing the role for half of her lifetime, she knew that while it would always follow her around from then on, she could also do other things that showed the world that she was not just Hermione Granger. She went on to make a few different movies outside of the franchise, such as; The Perks of Being a Wallflower, The Bling Ring, and This is the End. Most notably, she has taken on the role of the Disney princess, Belle, in the life action Beauty and the Beast movie that is set to come out in two years.

After Potter she did take some time off to finish her education and lead a more normal life, outside of movie sets and Hermione Granger’s shadow. She finished her education with a degree in English Literature.

But Emma Watson is not just known for her acting anymore. She has become a leading name in feminism and the power of women all over the world. In 2013, she was named Women of the Year by British GQ in 2014 she was named a UN Goodwill Ambassador for all of her hard work in bringing women’s rights to the forefront of every discussion in every country. She is quite easily becoming one of the most influential people in the world, especially the world of women’s rights and equality for all women, all over the world.

She is still an actress, and a very good one at that, but she is also so much more. She is a fighter for rights, no matter who you are, she is intelligent and well educated, but most importantly, she is a strong young women who knows who she is and what she wants. And she won’t let anyone stand in her way. She really is an inspiration to all young girls.
